Cake Tarte Tatin

These photos are of a variation of the classic French cake Tarte Tatin. You bake it upside-down so the pastry does not get squishy.  The fruit cooks in syrup. Then, when you finally turn it over, voilà! Food styling by Rudolf Vornehm, Munich.
